Annual Christmas Tea & Bake Sale

The 2016 Christmas Tea & Bake Sale was held on December 10th at the Hall. The Tea was well attended this year. A traditional lunch was served by the men volunteers of the community! The Bake Sale did offer a great variety of baked goods.

We appreciate the community support and hope that you all enjoyed the event...your "traditional" Christmas Tea in the country.

"Thank you" to all of the residents who generously donated baked goods for the lunch and for the Bake Sale, and to all the volunteers who made the lunch, served the lunch, and cleaned up after the lunch. Also "thank you" to Overwaitea for donating the huge turkey and a ham, and Brian Robinson for donating door prizes.

A special "thank you" to Marge Kennedy and Nettie Pettman for all their time and efforts in organizing and managing the event. Job well done!

In addition to the Tea & Bake Sale, there were several local vendors with their products on sale. There was a selection of very unique handicrafts and other articles, and many people took advantage of the offering to buy gifts for Christmas.

Overall, a great event!

See you in 2017.
