Every year or two, our Society produces a calendar for sale as a fundraiser. This is a contest for our next production. Review these Rules and instructions before submitting your entries.
- Official End Date: December 31, 2007
- Objective: To produce a 2009 calendar that can be printed and sold to raise funds for the West Creston Community Hall Society, using photos taken in, of, or from West Creston, during each month of the year.
- Eligibility: Participants can be any age and live anywhere, as long as the photos are in, of, or from West Creston. Photographers must NOT be accredited professional photographers.
- Photo Types: Unframed printed photos should not exceed 8.5" x 11" and may be black & white or colour. Digital photos can be submitted on a CD and must be minimum size of 1024 x 768 pixels in any format (i.e. JPG) that is convertible to TIF. Photos should be named as follows: Month-Last Name-First Name-Description. Example: May-Smith-John-View of Nick's Island looking North.
- Fees: Entry fee is 50 cents per photo, and can be submitted anytime until December 31, 2007.
- Entry Forms: Entry forms are available from this website, or may be obtained from the contest organizer or West Creston Community Hall. To obtain an on-line copy, click Entry Form and print it.
- How to Enter: Photos and fees are to be submitted to the contest organizer, any time until December 31, 2007.
- Draw: Each entry will be entered into a draw for a free 2009 calendar.
- The Fine Print: No entry shall be anonymous. Each photo must be submitted with ownership, as credit will be given to the photographer on the printed calendar.
- Judging: Participants in the contest are not eligible to be judges. A committee of experienced photographers will be assembed to choose the photos.
