The 2007 Christmas Tea & Bake Sale was held on December 1st at the West Creston Community Hall. The Tea was very well attended and the Sale offered a large variety of baked goods, from pies to squares and bread to peanut brittle.
Thank you to all those who attended, we appreciate your support of the community. Also, thank you to all who donated your time and baking for the lunch (the desserts were fabulous) and for donating baked goods for the Sale.
This year, some volunteers from the West Creston Fire Protection Society did the serving. Thank you Santa helpers Jim, Peter, Ed, Brian and Don, and to Lesley and Linda for their assistance in the kitchen.
A special "thank you" to Cathy Robinson for all her work in organizing and managing the event, and to Karen Evans and her families for making and donating the sandwiches and for helping out in the kitchen.
In addition to the Tea & Bake Sale, there were also a number tables where the local vendors could offer their products for sale. There was a good selection of very unique handicrafts and other articles, and many people took advantage of the offering to buy gifts for Christmas.
